No. Stamp duty is not payable when you move into a new Levande village.

Residents pay monthly, or fortnightly depending on the village, recurrent charges, also known as service fees, that covers the day-to-day running and operation of the village. Recurrent charges are reviewed annually and may increase by CPI or as required to reflect changes in operating costs. Levande will communicate any changes in accordance with retirement living legislation and your residence contract.

The Management Fee is Levande’s fee for managing, operating and reinvesting in the village over time. It is calculated as a percentage of your entry payment and can be paid in one of two ways, giving you choice and flexibility:

• Pay upfront: A Management Fee of 20% of the ingoing contribution is paid upfront and in addition to the ingoing contribution
• Pay later: A Management Fee of 30% of the ingoing contribution is deferred and deducted from the ingoing contribution when you leave the village

This fee supports the long-term sustainability of Levande communities, including:

• Building new retirement communities, and expanding or renewing existing ones
• Capital replacement of village assets
