Thank you for coming to Spring Open Week
Thank you for coming to Spring Open Week
Last week, we held our inaugural Spring Open Week across our villages to highlight how exceptional retirement can be and celebrate the start of Spring.
From the moment guests arrived, it was clear this wasn’t your average open day, and each village brought its own flavour. Selandra invited visitors to “step into life” with quilting displays, gardening workshops and mini putt-putt competitions. The Cove at Daley’s Point transformed into a pirate haven with rum tastings, wood-fired pizza and a salty sea-dog bar. Meanwhile, the Clubhouse at Cardinal Freeman became an art gallery, complete with champagne on arrival and heartfelt resident stories every half hour.
There were petting zoos, vintage car expos, ukulele lessons, Mad Hatter’s tea parties and lots of live music. Residents strutted their stuff in a fashion show, displayed handmade jewellery, and filled auditoriums with a fresh flower and vegetable market. Coffee vans and donut trucks kept everyone buzzing, while line dancing and wellness sessions added a spring to every step.
Whether you were sipping tea at a high tea, tapping your toes to live jazz, or building your own pot with volunteer gardeners, Spring Open Week was a celebration of life at Levande.
Thank you to all who attended and to our wonderful village teams for showcasing what makes their village so exceptional.
