As part of the Wollondilly Shire’s Seniors Festival, Levande Waratah Highlands hosted a great event on Thursday, 6th March, with over 80 local residents and locals attending! With gracious help from the Tahmoor Lions Club and the NSW Country Women’s Association (Picton District Branch) culminated in an amazingly successful event! The festival provided a plethora of festivities including Devonshire tea, with scones baked by the CWA, a preserves masterclass, a local art exhibition and most importantly the judging of the Great Scone Bake Off. The Great Scone Bake Off exuded community spirit with 11 entrants coming together in an extraordinary effort. The scones were judged by the CWA experts, exceptionally delicious and the best baker was rewarded handsomely, earning themselves and five friends or family an exclusive experience at Centennial Vineyards in Bowral. The experience included a chef’s tasting lunch, cellar door experience and wine to enjoy at home.
