Since February 2024, Lightsview Retirement Village has been abuzz with excitement, all thanks to its brand-new pop-up café. Every Thursday, from 10am to 2pm, residents and their guests can enjoy a delightful café experience right in the heart of the village.

With barrister-made coffee, a variety of teas, cappuccinos and more, alongside freshly baked cakes, cookies and gluten-free options, there’s something new to savour. And with a new menu each week, the café promises a fresh and exciting experience every visit.

It all started with the forward-thinking from a group of residents, who envisioned a mobile café to enhance social connections. With the help of a resident connected to Adelaide's renowned St Georges Bakery, the idea blossomed into reality.

The café has become a hub for residents to mingle with neighbours, friends and family. Whether it's a catch-up over coffee or a leisurely lunch, the café fosters a sense of community and togetherness.
