Camden View Supports 'Willing & Able'

2 min read

Levande Camden View is supporting 'Willing & Able', a local organisation that provides employment to individuals with disabilities and promotes sustainability.

Are you aware of the incredible initiatives happening at Levande Camden View? Our residents are actively contributing to our local community, particularly through our longstanding support of 'Willing & Able'. This organisation is dedicated to creating meaningful employment opportunities for individuals with mild to moderate disabilities.

Camden View has been supporting Willing & Able as early as the beginning of 2022.

With a goal to minimise textiles going into general waste and landfill, the Camden View community has two 'Willing & Able' donation bins on-site: one for textiles and clothing, and the other for 'Bric-a-Brac' items such as glassware, dinnerware and knick-knacks. Whenever the bins get full, Village Manager- Fiona Smith, notifies Willing & Able to pick up our donations, where they then resale the items at their local op shop.

Our residents also host garage sales in Villa 53 of the Camden View community, where residents are able to take anything up for sale, and what is left at the end of month is donated to Willing & Able.

At Levande Camden View, we pride ourselves in our efforts to support local businesses and promote sustainability to help make a significant impact on our community. By supporting Willing & Able, we not only provide employment opportunities for those with disabilities, but also help in benefitting the environment.
