A Contemporary Retirement Community Taking Shape in Brighton East

Levande Oak Grange is being transformed into a state-of-the-art retirement living community designed for connection, comfort and confidence, right in the heart of Melbourne’s desirable Bayside.

With the first two buildings of the renewed community having reached their maximum height, construction has now moved into its next phase, bringing this long-anticipated project a major step closer to completion.

To honour this occasion a topping out ceremony was held, a Scandinavian tradition to mark the completion of the highest point of the building. The tradition is notably characterised by placing a fir tree on top of the building.

Oak Grange at Brighton East is evolving into a thoughtfully designed retirement community that blends contemporary architecture with high quality shared spaces and everyday convenience.

When complete, the revitalised community will comprise 201 architect designed independent living apartments across six midrise buildings, supported by secure basement parking and a new central clubhouse.

The redevelopment is being delivered in three stages, allowing the community to progressively take shape while maintaining continuity for residents.

Progress and What’s Next

The recent topping out milestone marks the effective completion of the main building’s external structure and a shift toward internal fit out and finishes. Stage 1 is expected to be completed in late 2026, with the clubhouse positioned at the centre of the first release. Construction will continue to progress steadily as Oak Grange moves closer to welcoming residents into their new homes.
