A New Chapter Begins at Levande Highton
An exciting milestone has been reached at Levande Highton, with the official sod turning ceremony marking the beginning of construction for this new retirement community in one of Geelong’s most sought-after neighbourhoods.
Held on Thursday 19 March, the event brought together Levande leaders, project partners and local representatives to celebrate the start of works on site. Guests included Levande CEO Kevin McCoy, Federal Member for Corangamite Libby Coker, James Kelly of CHC Architects and Raj Mahato from Winslow Constructors, each sharing their perspective on the significance of the project and the role it will play in the local community.
As the ceremonial sod was turned, it marked more than the start of construction. It signalled the beginning of a new community taking shape, one that has been carefully planned to support a lifestyle defined by ease, connection and everyday enjoyment. With construction now underway, the vision for Levande Highton is beginning to come to life.

A New Community For Highton
Levande Highton is a brand new retirement community designed to elevate the everyday. Framed by green open spaces, wellbeing-focused amenities and thoughtful convenience, it offers a setting where life feels calm, connected and easy to navigate from the very beginning.
Beyond the village, Highton’s leafy streets, local cafés and everyday essentials are just moments from home, while the broader Geelong region brings access to waterfront precincts, dining and retail, adding another layer of choice and flexibility to daily life.
Within the village, spaces have been created to support both connection and quiet moments. Whether it’s a relaxed drink in the clubhouse, a walk through landscaped gardens, time spent in shared spaces or catching up with friends and family, each part of the community has been designed to help make everyday life feel more enjoyable.
The village will be delivered across four stages, with the central clubhouse opening in Stage One alongside the first collection of villas, establishing a strong sense of place from the outset. Once complete, Levande Highton will include 125 architecturally designed villas offering generous two and three bedroom layouts with single and double garage options. Each home includes a private outdoor area, from courtyards to balconies, providing space to relax, entertain or simply enjoy a quieter moment.
